A daytime robbery took place at a cold drink storage facility in Keshav Puram, prompting an immediate response from Delhi Police. The incident occurred on a Monday around 12:30 p.m., when a PCR call was received from Hansapuri Road in Tri Nagar, leading officers from Keshav Puram to the scene.
According to authorities, three unidentified men arrived at the godown riding a black motorcycle. Two of them entered the premises, one armed with a pistol and the other with a knife, while the third accomplice waited outside on the motorcycle, likely acting as a lookout. Once inside, the assailants threatened the staff, opened the cash counter, and fled with approximately USD 3,500 in cash. The entire heist was executed in less than two minutes.
Eyewitnesses described the robbery as “precise and menacing,” showing the robbers’ calm and methodical approach. Delhi Police have registered a case under FIR No. 311/3(5) BNS, which corresponds to Sections 397 (robbery causing grievous hurt) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the Indian Penal Code.
A special investigation team has been formed, and forensic experts are analyzing evidence from the crime scene. CCTV footage from the vicinity is being reviewed, and cameras from nearby toll booths and bus stops are also being scrutinized to track the black motorcycle used in the getaway.
Officials have advised local businesses to strengthen their security measures and coordinate with patrol teams. Residents in surrounding areas such as Ashok Vihar and Netaji Subhash Place have also been urged to review and share footage from their surveillance systems, especially if it captures any suspicious activity involving two wheelers.
While no arrests have been made yet, police are investigating potential links to organized robbery gangs, as this incident follows a series of similar armed heists in North West Delhi. Authorities have assured the public that patrol operations and community coordination will remain heightened until the culprits are apprehended.
