Counterfeit Oil Factory Raided in West Jakarta, Indonesia; Three Arrested

The Criminal Investigation Unit of the West Jakarta Metro Police raided an illegal production facility manufacturing counterfeit oil products in the Kembangan area of West Jakarta. During the operation, authorities apprehended three suspects believed to be part of a larger counterfeiting syndicate and seized numerous bottles of fake oil bearing well-known brand labels.

According to the Deputy of Criminal Investigation at the West Jakarta Metro Police, the operation was launched following a tip-off from a resident in mid-July 2025, who reported suspicious oil distribution activities. Acting swiftly on the report, the police identified a location suspected of being involved in the sale and production of counterfeit goods. Officers then raided the site and arrested three individuals, who were caught in the act of repackaging the fake oil.

The counterfeit products were being distributed across Jakarta, Tangerang, and Bekasi, raising serious consumer protection and public safety concerns. Authorities confiscated several bottles of the fake oil, which had been rebranded with logos of trusted companies to deceive buyers.

The three suspects are now in custody at the West Jakarta Metro Police station, where they are undergoing further interrogation. Investigators are actively working to uncover the broader network behind the operation. “This case is being handled by the Crime Unit and is still in the advanced investigation stage,” the deputy stated.
