Three individuals were arrested by the Cainta, Rizal Municipal Police after climbing onto a moving trailer truck and stealing part of its cargo along Ortigas Avenue. The Mayor said he received a video showing the suspects raiding a truck carrying large steel pieces while it was in motion. The men were seen unloading the stolen items by throwing them onto the road before jumping off, creating a serious risk for other motorists.
According to the Mayor, the suspects are known to target cargo trucks, previously operating along Imelda Avenue but shifting to Ortigas Avenue due to heightened police patrols in their old area. Following the arrests, the mayor warned of strict consequences, including removing the suspects’ families from the list of beneficiaries of the municipality’s housing program. He also ordered their profiling and declared that their families will be barred from receiving any municipal aid while he remains in office. The three suspects are now under police custody, with charges currently being prepared against them.
