Fred Kong is a distinguished expert in supply chain security, with over 20 years of experience driving the protection and integrity of global logistics operations. As the Asia Pacific Japan (APJ) Lead for Global Supply Chain Security at Dell Technologies, he plays a critical role in designing and executing robust security strategies across Dell’s regional supply chain. His core competencies span physical security, risk mitigation, and the implementation of global security standards, ensuring end-to-end resilience in a complex and fast-evolving threat landscape.

At Dell, Fred has been a driving force behind the adoption and integration of Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA) standards, including Facility Security Requirements (FSR) and Trucking Security Requirements (TSR). His leadership has been central to achieving TAPA certifications for multiple Dell sites across the region, reinforcing the company’s commitment to stringent security protocols. These initiatives have not only enhanced Dell’s internal security posture but have also set high benchmarks for industry-wide supply chain protection practices.

Beyond his corporate role, Fred actively engages with the wider security community through his involvement with TAPA Asia Pacific (APAC). He has been a key participant in regional conferences and initiatives focused on elevating supply chain resilience and security. Notably, Fred contributed as a speaker at the 2023 Supply Chain Resilience and Sustainability (SCRS) Conference, sharing valuable insights on navigating risks in complex logistics ecosystems.
