Police Arrest Delivery Warehouse Supervisor for Qualified Theft in Philippines

An operation by the Taguig City Police Station led to the arrest of a delivery warehouse supervisor accused of stealing ₱100,000 (USD 1,760) from company funds and attempting to flee to Cavite. Personnel from Tipas Police Sub-Station 5 responded to a report of internal theft at a delivery warehouse in Brgy. Calzada-Tipas.

The suspect, a branch supervisor residing in Central Signal Village, was caught on CCTV entering the Cash-on-Delivery (COD) Room and taking a bundle of cash amounting to ₱100,000 (USD 1,760). Using his position, he concealed the money in his clothing before leaving on a black scooter. The incident was reported by the company’s area manager through its legal officer.

Acting quickly, a tracker team from Sub-Station 5 launched a follow-up operation. Later that evening, the suspect was arrested in Cavite, where authorities recovered the stolen cash and the motorcycle used in his escape. He was read his constitutional rights in a language he understood but chose to remain silent.

The recovered cash and vehicle were inventoried and turned over to the Station Investigation and Detective Management Section (SIDMS) for documentation. The suspect now faces charges of Qualified Theft under Article 310 in relation to Article 308 of the Revised Penal Code. The public is encouraged to report suspicious activities through official hotlines or by dialing 911 and pressing 1.
