Five Arrested After China Warehouse Theft

-

Five individuals were apprehended and formally charged for their involvement in an incident involving the theft of approximately one tonne of car wiring harnesses from a Chinese-owned logistic company’s container truck.

The suspects were all former security guards, as confirmed by a Department Police Officer and the identification of the perpetrators was made possible through a review of the warehouse’s CCTV footage.

The group had unlawfully entered the company’s warehouse and opened a container truck, from which they stole car wiring harnesses that had been imported from China. The company’s owner recounted that this theft occurred while their security guard was asleep.

According to the Department Police Officer, the stolen goods were transferred to a nearby truck before the suspects escaped.
