A truck driver has gone missing along with the goods belonging to over 18 traders in Indore. The incident was noticed after a transporter filed a complaint at the Raoji Bazaar police station. The owner had sent a mini-truck to Manpur on September 21, driven by a resident of Barwah who had joined the company only a week earlier. Suspicion arose when no toll tax message was received from the route. Attempts to contact the driver failed as his phone was switched off, and hours later, he claimed the truck had broken down.
When the owner reached the location provided by the driver, he found the truck parked with the keys still inside, but completely empty. CCTV footage later showed the accused abandoning the vehicle at a petrol pump before fleeing. According to police, the stolen goods belonged to several firms.
In addition to the stolen consignment, the driver also escaped with the owner’s motorcycle and mobile phone, which he had deceitfully obtained. A case has been registered at the Raoji Bazaar police station, and joint efforts by teams from Raoji Bazaar, Rajendra Nagar, and Dwarkapuri police stations are underway to track down the suspect.
