The Transported Asset Protection Association Asia Pacific (TAPA APAC) successfully participated as a sponsor and exhibitor at the 2025 Filinvest City Security and Safety Summit, held at the Bellevue Hotel in Alabang, Metro Manila, Philippines, on June 25, 2025. The summit is a significant annual gathering to bring together security professionals, industry leaders, government agencies, and other key stakeholders. The summit explores innovative approaches and practical solutions for improving safety, security, and emergency preparedness across diverse sectors, from urban communities and commercial properties to industrial zones and critical infrastructure. It is to serve those for operational security and business continuity, all seeking the latest technologies, standards, and strategies to mitigate risks and safeguard assets and people.

Representing TAPA APAC at the event was Mr. Nilo Pomaloy, Lead Trainer and Auditor, who spoke on stage and engaged with attendees at the summit. In his presentation, Mr. Pomaloy highlighted how TAPA’s globally recognized supply chain security standards provide structured frameworks to help organizations assess and manage security risks. He explained how these standards not only protect physical assets in the supply chain but also support business continuity, compliance, and corporate reputation, key concerns for security leaders and decision-makers in attendance.
Mr. Pomaloy said, “Security practitioners with a basic understanding of TAPA Standards can apply it back to their respective organization as the proven cost-effective measure with the balanced solution of TAPA ie. People, Process and Technology”.
For government agencies and private locators within Filinvest City, the TAPA Standards offered insights into strengthening preventive measures against security threats. For corporate security professionals, understanding these standards allowed them to benchmark best practices, improve operational risk assessments, and assure stakeholders, including insurers and partners, that robust security protocols are in place. The discussions emphasized how TAPA Standards can positively influence business confidence and long-term investment considerations by reducing risk exposure.

The Filinvest City Security and Safety Summit was a successful event for TAPA APAC, significantly enhancing its outreach efforts in the Philippines. TAPA APAC looks forward to building these connections and supporting both public and private organizations in the Philippines towards more secure and resilient operations.
