TAPA APAC Engages Leaders at the Smart Supply Chain Logistics and Innovation Asia 2023

The world has witnessed a rapid transformation in supply chain logistics in recent years, driven by technological advancements and the need for efficient and sustainable operations. With its thriving economies and burgeoning industries, Asia has emerged as a hotspot for innovation in this domain. With the rising emphasis for technology and innovation, Smart Supply Chain Logistics and Innovation Asia (SSCL ASIA) 2023 brings their first Asia edition in Singapore to explore the key technological trends, challenges, and opportunities that await us in the realm of supply chain innovation.

This conference, held at the Concorde hotel in Singapore on October 16th and 17th, 2023, provided a valuable platform for industry leaders and experts in the APAC region to explore the latest advancements in Supply Chain technologies. These include Artificial Intelligence (AI) driven solutions, data analysis, blockchain, 5G, Internet of Things (IoT), robotics, and digitalization. These innovative solutions can enhance supply chain operations for visibility and greater profitability.

Partnering with SSCL ASIA 2023 as the ‘Official Endorser’, Transported Asset Protection Association Asia Pacific (TAPA APAC) participated in the conference keynotes and exhibition to engage the delegates and share the importance of TAPA Standards. Mr. Tony Lugg, Chairman of TAPA APAC, delivered a compelling keynote titled, “Overcoming supply chain challenges in manufacturing”, emphasizing the effectiveness of risk assessment processes in enhancing operational efficiency. He shared his experience implementing risk assessment and observing automatic enhancements in hygiene levels and operational performance within the organization. By engaging suppliers and implementing the Risk Assessment Standard, the company was able to enhance its overall operational process.

Tony highlighted the importance of TAPA Standards in warehousing and distribution centres. Insufficient security measures and poor processes can lead to various risks and losses for businesses. TAPA Standards were developed to align with the industry’s security expectations to improve organization supply chain processes, helping end-to-end supply chain enhance resilience and sustainability.

SSCL ASIA 2023 speakers shared their expertise, insights, and innovative ideas to address challenging issues. Their presentations sparked insightful discussions and inspired attendees to evolve themselves and their organizations with the latest solutions and technologies. The event brought together industry professionals and provided valuable insights into cutting-edge technological trends and the adoption of smart solutions, paving the way for innovative practices in supply chain logistics across the region.
