This includes boosting home production, decreasing reliance on imports, and encouraging the growth of domestic suppliers and vendors. According to the Electronics Association in India, India can become a leading player in the global market and achieve its aim of self-reliance by boosting the supply chain in the electronics sector.
The Electronics Supply Chain Summit, which included mobile/mobile accessories, consumer electronics, CCTV camera & security products, telecom & peripherals, semiconductor components & modules, and lighting segments of the electronics industry, sought to improve local sourcing and increase value.
It gathered together industry professionals, decision-makers, and stakeholders to address the most recent advancements, difficulties, and possibilities in the electronics manufacturing sector.
India’s exports of electronic goods increased 50% in 2022–2023 from USD 15.66 billion to USD 23.57 billion. This gain of USD 8.24 billion accounted for 33% of the year’s USD 25 billion increase in overall exports.
