On 19 and 20 June 2023, TAPA APAC held the highly anticipated TAPA Risk Assessment Standard (RAS) 2023 face-to-face training workshop in the vibrant city of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This comprehensive training programme aims to equip over 30 attendees with the knowledge and skills necessary to assess and mitigate risks along their supply chain. Attendees include Toll Group, Maersk, AIG, ShieldCoach Security, PMI, World Gate Express Services and others.
Led by industry expert and trainer, Dr. Christian Fjäder, and coordinator, Ms. Janet Wong, this training will delve into the best practices and requirements outlined in the TAPA RAS 2023, offering delegates a unique opportunity to enhance their supply chain resilience strategies.
The primary objective of the TAPA RAS 2023 Training is to enable participants to understand and implement the risk assessment methodologies for their end-to-end supply chain. By the end of the training, delegates will possess the necessary expertise to conduct thorough risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and develop robust security measures to safeguard their supply chains against potential threats.
Through a combination of theoretical insights, real-world case studies, and interactive exercises, delegates will gain a deep understanding of the TAPA RAS 2023 framework and its practical implementation. The delegates exchanged great insights as they analyze different risk forms and propose practical strategies within their supply chain to reduce the risk exposure.
Delegates are awarded with their TAPA RAS certification upon completion for expanding their supply chain risk assessment and management knowledge. The extensive two-day TAPA RAS 2023 Training concluded successfully with positive feedback from the delegates and enquiry from TAPA APAC members to conduct subsequent RAS 2023 training workshops in the coming months.
