A cargo ship experienced a fire while sailing in Tarahan waters, South Lampung, Lampung.
All passengers on board were safely evacuated. The exact cause of the fire is still unknown.
Plumes of black smoke could be seen coming from the back of the ship, and it was reported that the ship was empty of cargo at the time.
In an effort to extinguish the flames, a firefighting ship sprayed water on the back of the burning vessel. There were no casualties, although one passenger did suffer minor burns.
A total of 26 passengers, including 24 crew members and two vendors, were successfully rescued from the cargo ship and taken to Deltong PT Pier in Bukit Asam, Tarahan, South Lampung.
